Interesting fact about "Solnechny" camp

"Solnechniki" proudly recall that their squad was the first!

In 1960, the camp was a tent city, next to which four libraries housed a library, a pioneer room, a photo lab and an administrative and economic unit. On the slope of the mountain there was a two-storey wooden dining room, nearby there was a stage and sports grounds.

The first inhabitants of "Solnechniy" were 520 boys and girls who came from 37 regions of the RSFSR. The guys lived in one large family, they cleaned the tents and camp territory themselves, were on duty on the dining-room, cleaned the beach of garbage taken out by the sea. The older boys worked on clearing the forest park, helped to prepare firewood for the dining room, to clean up construction debris.

An integral part of the first-born camp was tourism, the boys went to the mountains, learned to break tents, burn campfires and cook food. In one of these campaigns in 1965, along with the "sunsets" went the composer Alexander Pakhmutov. The day was full of impressions and events, recall eyewitnesses, and the evening came gave warmth of the bonfire, a song for a guitar and a night starry sky. Alexandra Nikolaevna could not contain her admiration of southern nature, which later was embodied in a new melody. The legendary "Zvezdopad" first sounded when the guys of that shift got into buses. Since then, the song is considered a symbol of loyalty to the Orel friendship, it is performed once - in the eagle's circle, before leaving.

Time passed, "Solnechniy" changed. In the late 90s of the last century camp tents were replaced by brick houses, and in the early 2000s, the summer "Solnechniy" moved to year-round operation. On its territory were built cozy modern cottages, which gradually supplant summer houses. Reconstruction was the dining camp, and the administrative building.
